Hawaii Day 3

Yesterday was full of new experiances for the kids!

8:30am-We ate at the breakfast buffet in the hotel. Jer had a 9 to 10 meeting so the girls and I decided to do the fun classes here at the resort.

9:30am-Girls took a Hula Dancing lesson, and loved it!!

10:15am- We did a Lei making class, made our own Lei's with fresh orchids. It was so much fun. We loved the class, and made some new friends.

12:00pm-Left for our snorkeling adventure at Hunauma Bay. It's world famous for it's abundance of tropical marine life. As I was sitting on the beach a whale jumped out of the ocean off in the distance. It was amazing!!! The bigges story was the girls snorkeling. We knew Kenz would do it, but Madilynn is really nervous about trying new things. (You can see Jer's yellow swim truncKenz and Jer went out for an hour, then came back for Madi. Now the following is a quick version of the process leading to Madi snorkeling. It was neat to watch her do this. Madi put all the gear on, then decided she just couldn't do it. She just wanted to swim with Jer. So Jer took her out and Madi said she couldn't see the fish. Jer told her she needed the mask. So Madi got the mask.
Then Madi said she wanted to put her head under, but without the snorkel gear. Well, then she gagged on salt water, so she decided she wanted to use the snorkel gear. Next thing I see is Madi floating in the water snorkeling with Jer. I was so excited for her. When she came back to the beach she said it was the best thing she's ever done. Anyone who knows Madilynn, understands how huge this was for her. Way to go Madi. Kenzie was a pro and was so excited that she saw a Blow Fish. What a wonderful experience for our girls. Molly and I just played on the beach and had a good time. We had many Vietnamese people around us who were fascinated with Molly's white skin, blonde hair, and ocean blue eyes. They even asked if they could take pictures of her.

We left the bay after 5 hrs. and drove to a lookout point in hopes of seeing more whales. We pulled up to see a helicopter hovering. Learned a Navy Seals commercial was being filmed. That was very neat to watch. Finally right before we got in the car we spotted a whale in the distance. Jer got some photos but hard to tell what you're looking at. Also had more people fascinated with my girls hair, skin and eye color, and asked to take pictures of them.

Walked to a restaurant and Madilynn fell asleep during dinner. Poor thing was so tired from her big adventure! Jer carried her back to the hotel. Got the girls in bed by 9:00.

It was another wonderful day here!!!
