At 4pm we went to our church ward Memorial Day Luau. It was wonderful! Our ward tried this last year, but it rained most of the day, so we ended up holding it at the church, and many of the fun activities were axed.
This year we were blessed with FABULOUS weather! We had a full cooked pig that Billy cooked in his fire pit. It arrived in grand Hawaiian style.
It was a warm, beautiful day out at SM Park
After we ate, the Young Women did a Luau dance to Pearly Shells!

The Young Men did a Hawaiian Chant They really got into it. Billy taught it to them. Billy is from Fiji, attended BYU-Hawaii, was a dancer at the Polynesian Cultural Center. His picture is still on the website, and brochure.
Billy also got his friend who performs in Branson to come Fire Dance for us. It was Awesome!

Miss Molly enjoyed hula hooping
and just being too darn cute, even with a little dirt on her face!!!
A.J. brought his DJ equipment and we enjoyed fun music the entire evening. Many got out there to do some line dancing.

Such a fun event. I love our Church Ward! It's the best! Can't wait for next years Luau!!!
