11 Months

Mya you turned 11 months old on May 16, 2011

Wish there wasn't a shadow on your face. Mommy is going to take a photography class soon so I can learn how to take great shots of you and your sisters, without shadows.

You have done so many new things over the last month.

You flew to New York City for a little getaway with Mommy and Daddy on April 29th! Miss Mya, you were the hit of the town!

While there on May 2nd you were leaning on daddy's leg, pushed yourself to a standing position, let go, and stood by yourself for about 5 seconds. Daddy captured the exact moment! It was the first time you stood without holding onto anything.

On May 4th at home, you were standing while holding onto a chair, you let go and stood all by yourself for about 30 seconds. I hurried to get the camera, but by then you went down.

Now, sweet girl, it's like your an old pro! You love to stand up! Last week you learned that you don't even need to pull yourself up with anything anymore. You just get into a squat and stand up. It is the cutest thing.

Here you are on your 11 month day, so excited at your new moves.





In a way it makes me sad, because you are just growing up so quickly. In another way, I LOVE it! You are just this cute little person standing, and it's just adorable.

You walk holding onto furniture, but I bet that will change very soon. You did try to pick up your foot last week as if to take a step, but fell down.

You love to play with toys. You love the little walker. You just stand there and play with it. Kenzie said you took a step with it on your 11 month day. You are waving now. It's soooooo CUTE!!!!!! You sometimes wave with one hand, other times it's both. You will lift up your hand, make a fist, open your hand and then close it over and over. We LOVE your darling wave!

You also do this cute thing with your left hand. This picture shows exactly what you do. You're going to be a hand talker, just like mommy. You are like one of the girls now. You just get right in there when they are playing, and go after exactly what you want. Molly gets a little flustered when you take her toys, but she LOVES you so much.

You laugh so much! It used to be we never knew what would make you laugh. You would just laugh when you found something to be funny.
Now we can tickle you and you have the deep cute laugh. You love us throwing things it the air. Oh how you laugh! It's music to my ears!

You love sitting in the grass. You just pick at the grass, and are amazed by it.


We went inside to change into play clothes, you wanted to get right back outside.

You love being outside and getting in the mulch.




Molly wanted you to get in the little red car on your 11 month day. At first I was worried about you, but no need to. You loved it.


I almost started crying. You just looked like big/little girl sitting in her little car.
You thought it was funny to try standing in the car, even when Mommy kept saying you needed to sit down.

You don't like for your knees to touch the grass or sidewalk. So you do a Gorilla like crawl outside. So cute!


You still say dada, now you've added gaga. No mama yet, hoping soon!

2 new teeth came in on top on Friday. One new one each side of your two front top teeth. You have a total of 8 teeth. This is the first time you haven't been gumpy when teething.

You take your Iron drops well! Hoping your anemia will go away.

BEST NEWS......you are finally starting to eat FOOD! Still nursing, but you are loving bread, and the Gerber Puffs! YAHOO! You get so excited when you see us bringing them to you. You scream with delight!

You also are beginning to love the baby food push pouches too!

Still keeping bows and hats on your head, although the hats you are noticing a little more. :)


11 months.....I just can't believe it. Each day I ask time to slow down. It doesn't! Time keeps marching forward, and you are almost ONE. WOW! So grateful for each for each and everyday I have with you and your sister's.
