Family makes a visit in October

On Oct. 3rd my sister, Jennifer, flew into town. She came to stay with me while Jer was gone to the Philippines. We ate dinner at Panera Bread that night, and little did Jen know I would take her there 4 more times while she was here. Love that place!! MMMMM!!! Jen was a huge help to me while Jer was gone. I'm so grateful for her. The girls loved having Aunt Jen here! Sadly, I only took one picture while Jen was here. This was after Kenzie's Fall Choir Concert. Jen was also able to attend Kenzie's two fall piano recitals, and watch Madi at gymnastics. She flew home on Oct. 20th. Thanks again, Jen! We love you!

Jer left for the Philippines on Oct. 5th. He was to be gone until Oct. 2oth. I already posted earlier about how he ended up coming home on the 15th and surprised us, read here.

Jer's parents came out to visit us last week arriving on Wednesday Oct. 21st. We had a wonderful visit with them. On Thursday we went to Crown Center. We ate at, Panera, of course! Then had a fun time at the Crayola store, and the Fudge Factory. The Fudge maker made Peanut Butter Fudge and it was awesome watching him flip the fudge in the air during the making process. We also bought some Pumpkin Pie fudge, it was SO GOOD!!! Sorry no pics.

Friday, we went to Independence to see the church visitors center, and then to the Liberty Jail site.

Saturday we drove to see Adam-Ondi-Ahman.
Trying to get Molly in the picture was next to impossible. She wanted to do her own thing. She even threw herself to the ground showing us her dismay!:)

Molly just wanted to enjoy the great outdoors, and explore on her own!

She was so happy finding this tree stump to sit on!

...and so sad when we told her it was time to get down!(Seriously, everyone should witness Miss Molly pout just once. It's truly one of a kind!)

We made a few stops on the drive back home
1st- A Farmers Market where we bought great pumkins

2nd -The mall to ride the carousel

3rd- Ate dinner at Jack Stacks Stakehouse(no pics)

Every evening they were here was spent playing the Wii together, and watching a movie. They were able to be here for Madilynn's Primary Program on Sunday(Madi did great!), and then left for home after church.

Thank you so much for coming to visit. We love you!

...and I am now finally caught up with my blogging, which makes me so happy!!!!

Nat,
We actaully talked about y'all because I read your post about Ryan being sick while they were here. They were only here for 3 full days so it was a quick trip. Next time they stay hopefully it will be longer, and we can have y'all down. Hope Ryan is doing better.

Grandma and I sure had a great time. Thanks for the memories....and the BBQ, the pumpkin patch and the great picnic. Molly--your picture on the tree trunk is Grandpa's all time favorite (the one where you are smiling). Madi, thanks for the special hugs and Kenzi, thanks for perfect piano serenades. Love, Grandpa J
