Spring Break 2012

Our Spring Break was March 10-19th. We spent it in San Antonio with my Parent's and sister, Jenny. As always, we had a wonderful visit!

March 9th-  Left house at 9:45PM.   Drove all night 12 hrs. to my parent's house.  So tired!!!   It was a rainy day!  Mom got Panda Inn to-go for dinner ,  loved it!  Played a super fun game of Catch Phrase, and called it a night around 10:30pm.

March 10th-  Jeremy flew out of San Antonio for his business trip to the Philippines.  We attended church.  A girl fainted during Sacrament Meeting.  It was a little crazy!!!  All was fine!    Enjoyed a nice relaxing Sunday evening.

Monday, March 12th-  My Dad took us all to Enchanted Rock State Park

In the background behind the green you can see Enchanted Rock. You hike from bottom to the top. There is also a cave you can go in. We used to come when I was a kid, and my girls last went in 2004.

Park Ranger Lady who yelled at my Dad

We drove 1.5 hours to the park. As we got to the front entrance we saw a sign saying "Park Closed, will reopen in 2 hours" Dad tried talking to the Park Ranger but she wasn't very kind, or helpful! Yelled at him to get back in his car. Mom talked to another family who was pulled over too and they were told the park was filled to capacity, and Park Rangers were actually unsure when it would reopen.   We decided to just spend the day in Fredricksburg.  We were all sad Enchanted Rock didn't work out.

We took a few quick pictures in the Bluebonnets. The sun was so bright, and kids were hungry. No time to figure out lighting, or worry about it.

We decided to have our picnic in Fredricksburg (darling tourist town).
Poor Kenzie!  She had gotten her Expander put in on the 9th and her mouth hurt, and had a hard time eating.  She was able to eat a soft vanilla cookie.
Love these pics of my Dad and Molly

We walked around the cute outdoor Fredricksburg Museum.

It was hot out and time for some Ice Cream.  We were told of a yummy Ice Cream Parlor down the street.

Angels always watching- as were were walking to get Ice Cream, Molly was getting really tired. We took Mya out of the stroller, and had Molly sit in it. Mom was pushing her. Molly had a little map of the museum on her lap. We were walking past some cute stores when Molly's map fell off her lap, and landed with a loud thud on the sidewalk. It was loud enough that we all came to a stop, looked down, and Madi said "Molly dropped her map." At that second, a huge Suburban came out from the little alley that was between the stores for parking, and would have hit Molly had that map not dropped and made mom stop pushing her. The stroller was right at the edge and the Suburban just missed it. My heart was pounding. My mom said "It's a good thing Molly dropped that map." The thing is, Molly didn't drop it. It was sitting on her lap, and her hands were just resting on her legs. The map just flew off, and landed with a very loud smack hitting the ground. Once again, Angels were looking out for our sweet girl!!!   Last time was in  Hawaii

Mya sure loves her Ice Cream

Tuesday March 13th-  McKenzie and Madilynn rode with my Dad to Girls Camp about 2 hrs. away.  My dad helped drive equipment up to the camp.  McKenzie was very impressed with how nice the camp was.  :)    I think it was the water slide that impressed her the most.  Mom and I stayed home with the little ones, and crafted a cute Spring Moss Wreath.   After Jen got off work, and they got back from the Girls Camp drive, we all went to see The Lorax.  Mya actually watched the entire movie!  Yipee!  She made a mess with the Popcorn, but it kept her very happy!!!

Wednesday, March 14th- Jenny got home from work around 11:30 and then we visited a cute craft store.  This was one of those days when so many funny things happened on the way home from there.  These are HTBT moments, but oh, how we laughed!!!!   Had fun watching American Idol that night with everyone.

Thursday, March 15th-   Kenzie went up to Girls Camp again with Pa to attend their closing night Testimony Meeting.  She had a wonderful time with my Dad, and getting to know some new friends!    The rest of us went out to visit my BFF, Beverly, in her new house! Her sister, Booke, and their mom, Claudette,  also stopped by.  Oh how those three ladies make us laugh!!  :)   So much fun!   The kids all had a blast jumping outside on the trampoline.

Jeremy was in the Tokyo airport Wednesday night, and tripped while walking up moving escalator.  His flip flop bent back, and his big toe sliced right into one of the sharp edges on the escalator stair.   He was pretty resourceful in fixing it for his flight. Band aids and Maxi Pads from the gift shop.  HAHA!!   When he arrived at my parents Thursday night, mom cleaned it and helped bandage it up.

Friday he went to Texas Med Clinic.  The Doctor cleaned it really good, stitched it up, gave him a boot to keep it from moving, and put him on antibiotics to prevent staff infection.  We are 10 days out now, and it is healing well.

Friday, March 16th- Jer, Jenny, Mya and I went shopping at the San Marcos Outlets. Love those Outlets. I LOVE the Pottery Barn and Vera Bradley outlets! Great deals! The other girls stayed with my parents and crafted with my mom all day! We met them that evening at EZ's for dinner.   Not sure why I have no pics of Mom. :(

Saturday,March 17th- St. Patrick's Day
Mom,Jen, Jeremy, Mya, and I went to our Church Distribution Center. It is right next to the San Antonio Temple. Love that Temple!!!
Went back to my parent's, enjoyed the day, ate a yummy dinner (mom's delicious spaghetti) and left that night. We pulled into our driveway at 9am the next morning Sunday, March 18th.

Thanks to my family for a wonderful Spring Break!
