The Magic of Christmas Day

Christmas morning brought a beautiful sight outside after the Blizzard from Christmas Eve

Inside the "MAGIC" was just beginning

The girls each had a tree in their rooms for the Holidays. Kenzie had the Disney Tree(plus a Sponge Bob ornament added in the night!). Christmas Eve we moved that tree out into the upstairs hall and the girls put their stockings under it. They knew when they woke up (told them they couldn't get up until 7am) they could go out and see what Santa left in their stockings.

At 7:00am Kenz and Madi both sprung up and ran into the hall. I loved hearing the Wow's,and Ah's! They hurried and woke up Harley. More Wow's and Ah's. Then they begged to wake up Molly(who by the was up very late the night before watching Dora with Uncle Matt). Molly was actually happy when awoken, surprise since she does not like to be woken up. The girls all then helped Molly with her stocking surprises. Gam and Pa also left each girl a fun bag packed with fun gifts, and tons of books. They had a blast for over an hour just playing there in the hallway with all the goodies.

All the adults were up by 8:30 and we headed downstairs to get camera and video ready. I love this picture of the girls waiting to come down!
My dad was teasing the heck out of them with his "Oh My, wait until y'all see this!" They were dying at this point to get down there.

We let the youngest go first, although Molly was content to play with her Little People Christmas Train upstairs. So, Madi and Harley came in first. Here they are waiting now at the bottom of the stairs. Do we lead up to a surprise or what! HA!
Harley's look cracks me up, I think she's over the surprise waiting. Looks bored to tears!

Cousin Harley
Harley opened up game after game! Game playing will be a major event at the Francis household this year.

Speaking of the Francis clan here are Joy and Matt. Another major event for them will be the arrival of baby boy Francis in February.

Kenzie-gotta love the middle picture of her face when she first walked in! I love the Surfing Scentsy my mom gave Kenz for her Surfer bedroom. So cute!

Miss Molly finally decides to come on down

The kids saw that Santa ate their cookies and milk.

We ate a delicious breakfast of French Toast prepared by Kenzie and Gam.

Cute FHE Board Jer helped me make for Joy & Matt. Yes it's missing a knob. I told him to buy 4 instead of 5. We'll get that and your name hangies in the mail to y'all soon!

I was excited for the girls to open this. Jer and I bought the girls this Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade 2009 snowglobe so they could always look at it and remember our amazing trip.

After all was said and done Jeremy brought out one last gift. When my sister's and I were little we were given these doll bunkbeds by a dear friend of my mom & dad. I had forgotten all about them. In November I mentioned to my mom that I wanted to get Madilynn bunkbeds for Christmas to use with her American Girl Dolls. My mom remembered the beds and said they were in their attic. Thanks goodness my mom doesn't get rid of much. They needed some work done to fix them up. My Dad spent many hours in our basement the week of Christmas sanding, rebuilding, and painting the beds. They turned out BEAUTIFUL!! Thank you dad for your hard work. I found a lady on ebay who makes doll bedding and it was so great to see everything come together. Madilynn was so excited when she pulled the blanket covering off and saw the bunkbeds.

Miss Molly was also excited and quickly grabbed her new Tinker Bell doll and tucked her right in. Madi wasn't too happy, but was willing to share.
The cat on the beds is a gift to Madi from my parents. It's a cat, that looks real, breathes and purrs. It's belly even moves up and down. Molly spends time each day now telling the cat to wake up. It's so funny, because the cat doesn't wake up it always sleeps and always has it's belly moving. Poor Molly just doesn't understand.:)

Joy & Matt started packing for their drive back to Matt's folks in Oklahoma. It had started snowing again, but no worries this man came to the rescue Jer in his lovely snow shoveling outfit! Scary! HA! My dad went out too, but his outfit wasn't as funny! The shoveled for 2 1/2 hrs.
They were exhausted and freezing when they finally came in, but no cars got stuck in our driveway! Joy, Matt, and Harley left during heavy snow, but called us 3 1/2 hrs. later letting us know they had made it safe to the Tulsa area.

The rest of Christmas Day was spent enjoying the snowfall outside, watching A Christmas Story, playing with new stuff, naps, Wii and just enjoying time together.

Played a competitive Wii Bowling game

Molly loved when Pa would peak through the kitchen window and say "Hi" to her!

Gam loved it too!

It was finally time to say goodbye to another wonderful Chrismtas Day

Mom & Dad

Jer set the timer on the camera and then dove in the picture! Wish we'd done that when the Francis clan was there. Molly didn't want to stop playing with her kitchen, but at least she's in the photo happy or not!

What a Merry Christmas it was being here in our home with my family visiting! Loved every minute of it!

PS. The girls and I stayed in our jammies all day, everyone else got dressed! I'm also noticing my dad changed shirts 3 times that day. Goodness!
It was great just relaxing and being comfortable all day! Love Christmas Day spent in the PJ's!!
