The Statue of Liberty/Ellis Island

I wonder what it must have felt like to see this sight as an immigrant coming to the United States hoping for a better life. I'm sure it felt amazing to see this beautiful Lady welcoming them.

After the parade we rode the subway to Battery Park and took the girls to see The Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. The girls were very excited to see the Lady Liberty in person. Madi was doing a research project on her and was super excited to have real life pictures. Molly kept calling it a Castle. The sun had come out, and it was a gorgeous day!
